Slack Key Christmas was produced on the island of Hawai`i in the town of Waimea, right in the heart of paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy) country where this unique guitar style originated. As you drive through Waimea, the roads are intermittently lined with red poinsettias and green pine trees. Along with the chilly winter air of this higher ranch land elevation, paniolo country has a special holiday feel at Christmas.
