RTL News from The Netherlands recently visited Hawaii to do a news story on the culture here! For the hula performance, they filmed Mapuana de Silva’s halau performing at the Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikiki. Mapuana is Robert Cazimero’s hula sister, they studied together to become kumu hula.
Ukulele virtuoso Taimane is about to begin recording her first CD for the Mountain Apple Company! Producer Jon de Mello is looking forward to working with Taimane and sharing her talents with the world.
Jake Shimabukuro was at Don Quijote over the weekend where he performed and signed autographs!
